Welcome to HERK-GOUGE.com

I hope this website will become an online library of relavent C-130 study materials, tips & tricks, in-flight guides, and teaching aides that will help both newcomers and seasoned tac airlifters.  Much of the gouge on here will contain various pieces I've gathered over the years and updated in one way or another.  As with all gouge, don't let this replace your study of actual Air Force instructions and technical orders...the materials on this website should be just an overview or a springboard to further study.  If you're interested in adding material or starting a discussion, send me an email or visit the herk-gouge blog.

Access to this website via LRAFB seems to have been resolved.  Regardless the AF Portal version of this website is still an option if you wnat access to the same information.  You can click on https://wwwd.my.af.mil/afknprod/herk or https://afkm.wpafb.af.mil/herk.  I know it's on the AF Portal, but you can access it from home and work.  It's really a great site, and unlike this one...you can add your own content.  I'm only one man and we'd all benefit from your efforts as well.  In fact, I will be adding the Subject Matter Expert (SME) Feature as soon as time allows.  That will be something we can all benefit from.

Gouge List: I'm in the process of bringing all my gouge onto one website.  Until then, I have 2 links that you can use to easily browse what I've uploaded. http://herk-gouge.com/Documents/index.html or http://gouge.mabrooks.com

Why don't you just post your gouge on baseops.net?

I am asked that question frequently.  The truth of the matter is, baseops.net is a great website, but it has grown larger than the original community it served: the Herk Community.  I wanted to provide a place where C-130 airlifters could go specifically to increase their Herk knowledge and find C-130 related in-flight guides.  For mission planning, I still go to baseops.net.
